CR Associates updated the City of Calexico’s Bicycle Master Plan. The effort sought to build on recent efforts in the region to improve bicycle connectivity across several truck routes and state highways, improve connections with transit and at a busy international border crossing, as well as to better connect school children to school sites through a network of low-stress neighborhood facilities. Outreach for the plan was designed to be a “pop-up” in nature and included a booth at the Calexico Halloween Carnival, an event that draws over 3,000 people each year.
