CR Associates provided bicycle and pedestrian planning and GIS service for the Linda Vista Comprehensive Active Transportation Strategy (CATS) project.  The project serves to create an action strategy for improved bicycle and pedestrian safety, connectivity, and comfort.  Our staff created a combined bicycle and pedestrian demand model to identify priority corridors for both pedestrian and bicycle travel based on trip attractors, detractors, and intra- and inter-community travel connections.  A collision analysis was conducted, identifying high-collision locations to consider for safety enhancements.  CR Associates staff planned and facilitated separate bicycle and pedestrian audits to engage community members and discuss the constraints and challenges associated with active transportation within the community.  The audit results were compiled into maps, identifying specific locations of concern to cyclists and pedestrians.
