The Midway Urban Greening project serves to identify future green street improvements in the Midway/Pacific Highway Corridor Community to better manage stormwater runoff and improve bicycle and pedestrian environments.  CR Associates conducted a mobility needs assessment by defining priority corridors with a relatively higher propensity for active transportation and identifying existing issues related to intersection and roadway LOS; bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular safety; and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and connectivity.  The mobility assessment also incorporated a feasibility assessment to analyze priority corridors’ roadway right-of-ways, curb-to-curb widths, and an assessment of on-street public parking supply and demand.  A health impact assessment was performed to understand relevant health determinants and health outcomes with the potential to be positively influenced by implementing project recommendations.
